• Simon Bolivar

He is the most popular character of the Independence of  Grand Colombia. Simón Bolívar was in charge of leading the troops for the fight during the liberation campaign, against the Spanish army, which led him to be the liberator of territories that today make up countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Venezuela.

• Francisco Jose de Caldas

This man carried out the so-called Botanical Expedition that allowed the recognition of the territory so that the Creole army could take advantage of the confrontation with the Spanish; Furthermore, he was one of the characters involved in the famous event of the Llorente vase.

• Jose Maria Carbonell

Character who was part of the beginning of the cry for independence was José María Carbonell who was in charge of moving through different neighborhoods and mobilizing hundreds of people to the Plaza Mayor, to protest against the Spanish Empire.

• Policarpa Salavarrieta

• Antonio nariño

He was known as the Precursor of the Independence of New Granada, also as a sacrificial military leader and committed to the movement of our independence. Leader of the independence in political confrontations, Nariño represented the centralist option against the federalists, the majority in Congress.

• Manuela Beltran

She was a Revolutionary, she is considered the first heroine of the independence and promoter of a revolution, her protest against an excessive increase in taxes was the cause of the outbreak of the Rebellion of the Communards and later for independence.
