Facts that are involved with the independence
- Borbonic reforms:
They are a series of administrative, political, military, religious and cultural reforms carried out in Hispanic America (1700 - 1808). These reforms respond to a new conception of conceiving the state, where it is about centralizing power, these are linked to the ideas of the Enlightenment and therefore to the formation of modern states with all that this implies.
- Liberation campaign:
This start on May , 1818 and finish on 7 august, 1819. Directed by Simon Bolivar and Francisco de Paula Santander, it was a military campaign to liberate New Granada from Spanish rule, in the libertation campaing they liberated 5 countries: Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador and Panama. And they have to pass per many battles, like Boyaca, pantano de Vargas, Paya y paso de los andes and Gámeza and Tópaga battles, for these, many people had to join to army and many lifes was lose. - The Vase of Llorente:
This happen in May 1818 in Venezuela. A group approached the store of the Spanish merchant José González Llorente, so that he could lend them a vase that was occupying one of the shelves of his shop, he refused. Luis de Rubio had no intention of acquiring said decoration object but they showed their interest, but they had an upcoming visit by the royal commissioner Antonio Villavicencio to the city, for which a dinner that needed a centerpiece would be organized. But history tells that everything had been a plan of the moral brothers. It gave way to the Congress of Angostura and the birth of the Republic of Colombia.
